Humans might be a mere blip in the timeline of Waitaki’s 80 million year old story, but we’re looking for the kind of humans who will use the lessons of our past to impact the future of our planet and its people.

We’re seeking bold leaders, fearless champions; people with a passion for addressing the societal challenges we all face, who won’t be daunted by the scale of the task ahead.

Currently, we are seeking additional Trustees who will bring some or all of the following assets or skills:

  • Networking at central Government level;

  • Fund-raising and financial management;

  • Legal - particularly relating to planning, contract and consent issues;

  • Engagement, communication and media management;

  • and Youth engagement.

It’s a big project, a big job.
You’ll need mana, commitment and stamina.

"What a fantastic window into the past. Today we saw fossil bones in limestone at two different sites. One set were whale bones. Just awesome that this trail has been put together, maintained and promoted."
