Since our Business & Community Ambassador Programme was launched in early June more and more businesses and community group have joined us. Together we promote our special place, our local businesses, slow tourism, community education and resilience.

The criteria to become an ambassador are simple: the organisation must be located within the WWG, comply with all laws and regulations relevant to its operations and commit to represent, support and communicate the Geopark’s values kaitiakitanga, manaakitanga, whanaungatanga and whakaute. There are no costs involved to join the programme. Ambassadors receive a unique WWG Ambassador logo, an introduction video about the Geopark and are listed on the website as official ambassadors to start with.
