Check out our newest tour on our Waitaki Whitestone Geopark Touring App, which will take you from Ōamaru to Duntroon via the inland route. This story-packed tour will introduce some of the geological and social stories of this part of the Geopark. Make sure you have time when you arrive in Duntroon - a place of history and discovery. We are not taking the usual route via State Highway 83, but will explore the rural roads of North Otago. The tour starts at the Ōamaru Lookout Point and winds its way via Weston and Ngapara to your final destination Duntroon! Along the way, you will learn more about some of the geological features you pass as well as about some of the social stories that are connected to this rural part of our Geopark.
