After receiving the sad news from Tourism Waitaki, we have decided to re-open the Geopark pop-up shop on 27 Thames Street over this coming long weekend so visitors have a place to find brochures, maps and advice on what to do and where to go. Thank you to the team from the Oamaru I-Site, who has provided us with more brochures and maps to give out to visitors. The hours for this Sat, Sun and Mon will be 10am - 3pm.
We are aware that this is a difficult time for many and we hope we can support Waitaki by making the pop-up shop available for people to drop in and find out what makes Waitaki special. So if you have family and friends coming over or see visitors on the street, send them over if they are looking for more information.
Due to the narrow shop space we will have strict regulations in place to keep everyone safe!
After this weekend, we are planning to go back to the normal opening hours we had before lockdown: Monday - Friday 12.30-4.30.
