FLEUR IS REPRESENTING THE GEOPARK AT THE FOOD HUI

Updated: Nov 4, 2019

Eat New Zealand's annual Food Hui will be held in Auckland this year. We were invited to join the panel discussing regional food: Tasting our Regions; Telling our Food Story throughout the Country. Luckily we were able to secure Fleur Sullivan (Fleurs Place, Moeraki) to attend that panel to represent Waitaki, the Geopark and geogastronomy.

Fleur Sullivan is one of New Zealand's pioneering restaurateurs. She is the owner of the acclaimed fish restaurant Fleurs Place in Moeraki. After many years in the heritage and hospitality industry, she is happiest when on the old Jetty in Moeraki surrounded by fish stock, cod liver pate, smoked Conga eel, mussels, seaweed and boats. Fleur is deeply passionate about all our region has to offer both for her own community and that of her global visitors.

The Food Hui is a great opportunity to connect with foodies from whole New Zealand and get them excited about the geogastronomy initiative, and gain international publicity for the Geopark and the district.
