FAREWELL LISA!

It is with a bittersweet feeling that we are saying goodbye to our Geopark
Manager, Lisa Heinz. Lisa was with the Waitaki Whitestone Geopark for the
past 5 years and played a significant role in helping the Geopark receive its
UNESCO accreditation. This tremendous recognition of Waitaki’s geological and cultural heritage is testament to Lisa’s hard work, passion and dedication.
After completing her Masters in tourism management, Lisa’s credentials and background were a perfect fit for the burgeoning Geopark Trust - being first employed as Geopark Co-ordinator and then Manager. Her devotion to telling the Waitaki stories of both the land and its people, helped bring the Geopark to life whilst forging its legacy.
She has filled many roles from volunteering at the Trust to working after hours to create a globally recognised conservation programme.
As Lisa embarks upon a new journey, we thank her for her enthusiasm and
championing of the Waitaki Whitestone Geopark, which will not be forgotten. We wish Lisa all the very best for her new adventure!

The India Global Workforce Hub can not be matched by job creation. Many of the people end up in the informal gig, which is much larger here than elsewhere. Women and rural workers?
