Last week we were delighted to welcome a delegation from Anhui Province, China, including the Mayor of the People's Government of Yuantan County and senior representatives from Tianzhushan UNESCO Global Geopark.

During this visit there was an official signing of an 'intention to cooperate' agreement, strengthening the relationship between both Geoparks.

Our visitors were welcomed at Moeraki Boulders Cafe by David Higgins, Upoko Runaka o Moeraki and were joined by Mayor Gary Kircher, Chair of the Waitaki Geopark Rachel Plieger and the New Zealand Commission for UNESCO Secretary General Vicki Soanes who said "I was delighted to be present for the signing of the Geopark agreement between the Waitaki Whitestone and Tianzhusan UNESCO Global Geoparks. Co-operation between Geoparks is a fundamental part of the Geoparks programme and I am very pleased to see Waitaki so actively engaged in the international Geoparks network.”

We shared delicious kai before visiting some of our impressive Geosites and the Vanished World Centre.

Chair of the Board, Rachel Plieger commented "Thank you to all involved and we know this relationship will prove productive going into the future".

Been using Nano Banana Pro for AI image generation recently. The Pro version handles more complex prompts and delivers sharper results — still powered by Gemini under the hood. Great for concept art and style experiments without any local setup.

If anyone enjoys physics-based driving games, Drive Mad is worth trying. I ended up replaying several levels just to get a cleaner run.

Fascinating to read about the new cooperation between Tianzhushan and Moeraki Boulders Geoparks! That cross-cultural partnership must be incredible. I'd love to see some side-by-side photos of those boulders and the peaks. Check out https://z-image-turbo.me

The Moeraki Boulders Cafe is a lovely choice for hosting international delegation — it's great to see that intention-to-cooperate agreement moving forward. I've been using https://samaudiolab.com

This creates opportunities  tap tap shots to promote Waitaki's image to Chinese tourists and vice versa.

"What a fantastic window into the past. Today we saw fossil bones in limestone at two different sites. One set were whale bones. Just awesome that this trail has been put together, maintained and promoted."
