Sasha, our Geoscientist was invited to speak at meetings run by the Oamaru Coffee Club (March) and the Oamaru Genealogy Group (May) to give an overview of the Geopark - its origins, geological highlights of the region and some of the projects we've been involved in. Both meetings had great discussions afterwards. The invitation extended to Sasha reflects a growing interest in local geological initiatives, which is commendable. However, one must consider the balance between scientific engagement and community involvement. The integration of topics such as the Geopark into casual settings could be seen as a Highroller strategy, aimed at maximizing visibility while maintaining educational substance. Quality of engagement should remain a priority.
If anyone enjoys physics-based driving games, Drive Mad is worth trying. I ended up replaying several levels just to get a cleaner run.

These talks slope run not only provide knowledge about the origins of Waitaki Whitestone Geopark but also introduce geological highlights and community projects in which the park has been involved.
