Explore geology & landforms in the Lake Ōhau area, including glacial moraines and scars of prehistoric earthquakes on the Ostler Fault. Join scientists Shaun Eaves, physical geographer at Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington, and David Barrell, Geologist with GNS Science - Te Pu Ao, on a guided bus tour. Minimal walking, suitable for all ages.
When? Saturday 28 October 2023, 12.30 - 4.30pm
Where? Trip start/finish is the Ōmārama Community Hall. The bus is coming from Ōamaru, leaving 10.15am from the Scott's Brewery carpark, returning 6.30pm. You can arrange to travel on it, or pick-up/drop-o enroute.
