INTRODUCING THE GEOPARK TO COMMUNITY GROUPS

Updated: Aug 4, 2020

On Tuesday, Sasha and Lisa were invited to give a presentation on the Waitaki Whitestone Geopark to the University of the Third Age here in Waitaki. We started to introduce the Geopark concept and the projects and activities that are on-going at the moment. Sasha also gave an introduction to the formation of Zealandia and how our story is told through the rocks. Thank you for having us and your interest in the project. We loved to hear all your stories.

If you are part of a community group that would like to know more about the Waitaki Whitestone Geopark, please get in touch with us. We would love to join you during your group meetings and give an introduction or update on the Geopark. Please email info@whitestonegeopark.nz to get in touch.

I wonder what the next event will be, especially considering the 47 views the post received. Maybe I should search seven knights rebirth !

"What a fantastic window into the past. Today we saw fossil bones in limestone at two different sites. One set were whale bones. Just awesome that this trail has been put together, maintained and promoted."
